Akim Israel Assisting visionary donors to make perpetual gifts.

A legacy is not merely a matter of apportioning your estate, but rather a reflection of your values and feelings and commitments to others.

Akim Israel is devoted to the task of strengthening the lives of more than 30,000 mentally handicapped people and their families providing for their future in Israel.

The names of these donors are remembered annually as their legacies continue to help us sustain mentally handicapped children.

A legacy is not merely a matter of apportioning your estate, but rather a reflection of your values and feelings and commitments to others.

Your legacy makes a statement to your family, as the nature of your legacy is shaped and enriched by a lifetime of choices and commitments.  It can express your identity through Akim Israel with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Your legacy can be a lasting testimonial to your life.  It can be the most eloquent way through which you will be remembered.

Your legacy underscores your commitment to Jewish life and support for Israel by committing all or part of your estate to the needs of the mentally handicapped and their families in Israel.

The amount of your legacy gift is a function of your family responsibilities.  In conformity with Biblical tradition, you may wish to tithe* your estate for broader Jewish purposes.

*  A tithe is a tenth part of anything: it generally refers to one's assets and capital.  In ancient times, tithing was at different periods either an obligatory tax or voluntary contribution towards the maintenance of the Temple in Jerusalem and in support of the destitute and the poor.

Alternatively, you may wish to assign residual rights, or to divide your estate in equal or varying amounts or percentages that reflect family concerns and your commitment to the future of Akim Israel and the Jewish people.

Remember, your will serves as your permanent testament an indelible bond of belief and commitment to which your name is eternally linked.

Please consider what a legacy can mean to you.
